Privacy Policy

NeuroRecall: Brain Sharpener ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Sreternals. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our mobile application, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
By downloading or using NeuroRecall you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Display name, email address, and profile photo — provided via Google Sign-In when you choose to authenticate.
- If you play as a guest, no personal identifiers are linked to your session.
Game & Usage Data
- Scores, levels completed, stars earned, and XP for each of the 8 games.
- Streak counts, daily challenge completion history, and achievement progress.
- Session timestamps (for streak calculation) and Brain Score metrics.
Device & Technical Data
- Device model, operating system version, and locale — collected automatically by Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
- Crash reports and performance traces via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs.
- Firebase installation ID (an anonymous app instance identifier, not tied to your Google account).
Notification Preferences
- Whether you have granted permission for local push notifications (e.g. daily challenge reminders).
- We do not collect notification tokens for third-party marketing — reminders are sent locally on-device.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Core functionality — save your progress, calculate Brain Score, populate leaderboards.
- Personalisation — tailor difficulty nudges based on your recent performance.
- Analytics — understand aggregate usage to improve game design and performance.
- Crash reporting — diagnose and fix bugs that affect your experience.
- Daily reminders — optional on-device notifications to maintain your streak.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for profiling, targeted advertising, or share it with data brokers.
3. Third-Party Services
NeuroRecall uses the following Google / Firebase services, each subject to Google's Privacy Policy:
- Firebase Authentication — manages Google Sign-In tokens securely.
- Cloud Firestore — stores your game data and leaderboard records on Google's servers (region: us-central1).
- Firebase Crashlytics — anonymous crash and error reporting.
- Firebase Analytics — aggregated, anonymous usage data (ad personalisation is disabled).
4. Data Retention
- Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Analytics and crash data are retained for 14 months per Google's default policy.
- When you delete your account, all identifiable data (name, email, scores, and Firestore documents) is permanently erased within 30 days.
5. Children's Privacy
NeuroRecall is rated for users aged 3 and above on Google Play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
6. Your Rights
- Access — request a copy of data associated with your account.
- Correction — update your display name or photo via Google Account settings.
- Deletion — delete your account and all associated data from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us. See our Account Deletion page for step-by-step instructions.
- Portability — request a portable export of your game data.
- Objection — opt out of analytics by disabling "Analytics" in the app's Settings screen.
7. Data Security
All data is transmitted over TLS/HTTPS. Firestore Security Rules restrict document read/write access to the authenticated owner. We review security rules as part of every production release.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
